Global Oilfield Services Company

Seismic Processing Web Apps

A leading, global oilfield services provider wanted to create a series of cloud-based, desktop applications to optimize the seismic processing time.

The Challenge

Too much time is spent chasing down information, and calculating resources, from many sources and people for project estimation and management. There is no central repository for monitoring and sharing past projects/ knowledge and successes/failures. Project and data resources are scattered across platforms and SMEs.
No centralized access to tests and QCs with workflow execution.

The Solution

As the design lead, the team and I created a centralized project management
environment where engineers access projects, execute workflows, and communicate with team members, so they can develop higher-quality earth models.

•Revisiting geophysics fundamentals
•Bring geophysicists closer to their domain
•Maximize their expertise and training
•Focus on workflows and results, not jobs
and data management
•Deliver bespoke user experiences that delight

Project Management Dashboard

Team Management
Centralized resource management allows for administrators' flexibility to grant different permission levels. Team members assigned to a project will have localized communication within the project.

Workflow Generator
A container of specific data sets, steps, and workflows within a project

Flow Designer & Flow Generation

Flow Repository
A centralized processing management tool enabling engineers to build custom processing models without starting from scratch.

Flow Designer
Drag and drop-based application for designing data processing flows, validating outcomes, and leveraging processing flows from previous projects.

Model Builder

Dataset Import
A data ingestion application to incorporate client-specific data into existing or new projects.

Model Builder
Interactive model building visualizer to expedite a project’s overall scope and outcome.
